Shape and Enhance Your Lips At DentoBeauty
Why Use Lip Fillers?
As we age, our body slows down it’s production of collagen. Collagen is one of the key ingredients in youthful, luscious skin. It’s what gives our skin its bounce.
Without collagen, lips become thinner and the youthful shape of our mouth is lost.
Using hyaluronic acid, we can add volume to specified areas of the lips to return them to their former glory, or shape them to exactly how you want them to look.
Lip fillers aren’t just used to make lips bigger, they can be used to add a specific shape to the lips.
Many people worry about the “duck lips” look but at DentoBeauty you can be sure of a subtle, natural look when we’re finished.
Are Lip Fillers Safe?
At DentoBeauty, the answer is YES!
That’s not to say all lip fillers are safe… Some “beauty salons” use cheap, sub-standard products in order to save money. At DentoBeauty, we use high-quality hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally produced in the body. We use a synthetic version of this, so it hasn’t been extracted from another human or animal.
In other times, clinics and places in the world, bovine collagen (from a cow) was used as a lip filler and in the early days even silicone was directly injected.
Over the years the cosmetic community came to realise that there are safety concerns with those other methods and hyaluronic acid has become the method of choice for safe, reliable, lip filling and enhancement.
What Can I Expect?
The treatment is the same as our other Dermal Fillers which you can read more about here. You may wish to opt for a topical numbing cream, in which case you will feel no pain, maybe just a slight discomfort.
The fillers will naturally break down over the next 6 – 9 months depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Don’t worry, the ingredients are not harmful.
